2012 recap: Stewart finished ninth in the standings after winning the Cup title in 2011, his third. He was winless in the 2012 Chase after posting five victories in the 2011 playoff, but Stewart still had three regular-season victories in 2012 -- Las Vegas, Fontana and Daytona in July.

He also won one of the qualifying races at Daytona in February. Stewart posted 12 top-12 finishes, three more than he had during his 2011 championship season.

  5. Newton: Will scores get settled at Martinsville?

  7. Logano says he's done getting 'walked on'

  8. McGee: Rich and poor

The insult Tony Stewart lofted at Joey Logano may have crackled across media, but calling another driver a spoiled rich kid is older than Stewart, older than NASCAR, and for some ... it gets old.
