Mooney has been selected as the Wrangler NFR alternate announcer twice (2000 and '04) and in 1999 he called the action at the National Finals Steer Roping. Earlier this year, he announced the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Pocatello, Idaho, for the fourth time.

In 2002, the Women's Professional Rodeo Association named him their Announcer of the Year.

Mooney received a bachelor's degree in animal science and agri-business from the University of Georgia (Tifton).

Bullfighters/Barrelman
Frankie "Punkintown" Smith (Easley, S.C.) … Barrelman
Smith has been chosen to work his first Pace Series event as a barrelman. Smith joined the PRCA in 1998 and since that time has made a name for himself. In 2004, he was selected to work the Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo and in 2005 he worked the Tuff Hedeman Challenge. He has been named the Comedian of the Year three times (1997-99) by the International Country Gospel Music Association and in 1997 he was also named their Entertainer of the Year. He and his wife, Zasu, have one daughter, Laura, and one son, Dusty.

Darrell Diefenbach (Azle, Texas) … Bullfighter
The "Thunder from Down Under" has been selected to work his sixth Pace Series Event. Diefenbach, originally from Queensland, Australia, now making his home in Azle, Texas, has been chosen as one of the bullfighters at this year's Pace Chute-Out. He has previously worked the Pace Chute-Out (2002, 2004) and the Pace Classic in Dallas (2003-05). Diefenbach, 32, won two bullfighting titles in his native Australia and has work the Wrangler NFR four times and the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Pocatello, Idaho, twice. He has also been selected to fight bulls at other marquee rodeos including Houston, Calgary and Fort Worth, Texas.

Shorty Gorham (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) … Bullfighter
Gorham has been selected to work his fourth Pace Series event. He previously worked the Pace Chute-Out in Las Vegas in 2003 and 2004 and in 2005 was selected to work the Pace Challenge in Omaha, Neb. In 2005, Gorham was selected to work his first Wrangler NFR after serving as the alternate the past three years. The 27-year-old received his PRCA card in 1997 and has worked the California Circuit Finals Rodeo and the California state high school finals. In 2004, he was selected to work the DNCFR.

Travis Adams (Gary, Texas) … Bullfighter
Adams has been selected to work his first Pace Series event. Adams, 34, joined the PRCA in 1996 and worked the Southeastern Circuit Finals in 2000. He enjoys fly fishing in his free time and his style of dress consists of mossy oak camouflage shirt and baggies and loud colored shorts.-->
