COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The annual Benny Binion's World Famous National Finals Rodeo Bucking Horse and Bull Sale recently made a $40,000 donation to the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy.

The sale is held each year during the Wrangler NFR, and part of the proceeds are given to the Hall to help with operations. John Davis, who helps run the sale, said it was originally established to help provide for the Hall.

"It's a way not only for the contractors to better their livestock, but to contribute to the Hall, too," he said. "It's just grown and grown each year."

A contribution has been made every year since 1986, and the $40,000 donation this year was the biggest yet.

This year's sale will be Dec. 6-7. Consignments will open Aug. 1 at 8 a.m. (MT), and interested contractors can call 541.339.4960.
