Giaffone unhurt in crash
Giaffone INDIANAPOLIS -- Brazilian Felipe Giaffone crashed in practice Tuesday for the Indianapolis 500, but was not injured.
Giaffone lost control of his car coming out of the third turn, hit the outside wall in the short chute and skidded against the wall in turn four before stopping in the front straightaway.
The 29-year-old Giaffone was hired by Dreyer & Reinbold Racing to drive the No. 24 car after Robbie Buhl retired following the IRL race last month in Japan.
