Hit the pedal with some fundamental physics

Take note of the laws of physics while you're watching the graceful ballet of cars racing side-by-side at excessive speeds on the verge of disaster.

The principles of racing (as in all sports) are rooted in the laws of physics. For example, Newton's first law of motion is: "An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force."
