Teams starting to show strains from nonstop racing schedule

Competing every weekend is common in some forms of racing, but the IndyCar Series is a different animal in some respects. The strain is starting to show as the series heads to Edmonton Saturday for its sixth race in as many weeks, writes John Oreovicz.

Racing six weekends in a row is typical for NASCAR and would barely be considered part-time for a series like the World of Outlaws. But six race weekends in a row is uncharted territory for the IndyCar Series, and five weeks into that difficult stretch, the strain is starting to show.
