Johnson says finger healing well
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Three-time reigning champion Jimmie Johnson said his cut finger is healing well, and he'll test several braces on his left hand when Daytona International Speedway opens on Friday.
Johnson was injured when he accidentally sliced his finger with a kitchen knife as he attempted to alter his uniform during last month's Rolex 24 sports car race. He had surgery to repair a tendon, and the stitches have been removed.
