CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Geoff Bodine will make his second attempt to qualify the No. 64 Sprint Cup car for owner Larry Gunselman this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The 59-year-old Bodine will be among 49 drivers attempting to make Sunday's race. It will be his second attempt to qualify this season after failing to make the Daytona 500.
Bodine's brother, Todd, qualified the 35 for Sunday's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and finished 37th after being sidelined with engine problems 227 laps into the 285-lap event.
Todd will drive the No. 35 car for owner Michael Hillman.
It is the fourth straight week that at least 48 cars have attempted to qualify.
