Harvick doubtful for first practice
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Sprint Cup driver Kevin Harvick has flu-like symptoms and is doubtful to participate in Thursday's first practice for Saturday night's Budweiser Shootout.
Richard Childress Racing teammate Clint Bowyer will take Harvick's place in practice barring a quick recovery.
Team officials said Harvick, who did not attend Media Day, remains home in bed in North Carolina.
Harvick won the 2007 Daytona 500.
