Leavine Fenton to run in six Cup races
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- David Starr will compete in six Sprint Cup races for newly-formed Leavine Fenton Racing in 2011.
"From there we plan to grow the program to over 12 races in 2012," said Lance Fenton, who co-owns the team with fellow Texas native Bob Leavine. "Our hopes are to have a good enough experience to race the complete season in 2013.
"We are taking our time with this program to make sure we maximize every dollar and have an enjoyable experience. As long as we are having fun, we will continue to race."
Starr will compete in both Charlotte races, both Texas races, as well as at Kentucky and Chicagoland in the Sprint Cup Series.
The organization will run Roush Fenway Racing cars with Roush/Yates Engines. Wally Rogers will be the crew chief.
