Earnhardt Jr. wants majority stake in DEI
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. didn't take long to shake things up at media day on Thursday.
One day after a meeting between he and his representatives and representatives for his late father's team, Dale Earnhardt, Inc., Junior said one sticking point is ownership. Majority ownership.
Earnhardt Jr. confirmed to ESPN.com's David Newton that Junior is indeed seeking at least 51 percent of the race team his father started, but that his stepmother Teresa now owns.
