2009 IndyCar Series Power Rankings - Week 14
 RK(LW)DRIVERTOP 10sCOMMENT
1 (3)Scott Dixon11Dixon distinguished himself as Indy car racing's most successful driver during the IRL era at Mid-Ohio with his 20th career win. Crushing victory also put him back on top of the 2009 points chart.
2 (1)Ryan Briscoe10Overextended his last set of soft alternate tires during final stint at Mid-Ohio, yet maintained enough speed to hang onto second place. Has a lot of poise and is now Team Penske's lone championship hope.
3 (2)Dario Franchitti11Doesn't like Ganassi teammate Dixon's road course setup and has therefore struggled at tracks that should play to his strength. But he is still solidly in championship contention.
4 (4)Helio Castroneves8Helio's hopes of winning his first major open-wheel championship probably went up in a cloud of dust when he spun off midway through the Mid-Ohio race. Still inconsistent after all these years.
5 (5)Will Power6It's an indication of just how far the IndyCar Series Power Rankings drop off after the top four drivers that Power still ranks fifth-best even though he wasn't in action at Mid-Ohio.
6 (9)Marco Andretti8Marco's Andretti Green Racing teammates have usually been faster, but he has usually run reliably on race day. His lack of qualifying speed on road courses remains a mystery.
7 (6)Graham Rahal7Lost a potential second-place finish at Mid-Ohio with a small mistake, but is generally showing more consistency in his second year in the series.
8 (10)Justin Wilson4Mid-Ohio offered more evidence about how close Dale Coyne Racing has gotten to being a top-level team. Cutting it perhaps too close on fuel mileage cost Wilson a second-place finish.
9 (8)Danica Patrick9A season that started with so much promise for Danica has faded to the midfield, and Mid-Ohio matched the St. Pete opener for her worst result of the year.
10 (7)Tony Kanaan8The distractions in TK's world seem to be taking a toll on his performance in the car. Qualified better than of late but ran off course and came home 10th.
