Viktoria had a great 1998-99 season. She won the bronze medal at Junior Worlds, then placed third at Russian Senior Nationals, claiming the coveted third spot on the Russian World Championship team (ahead of 1998 World silver medalist Irina Slutskaya).
Vicktoria lives in Moscow with her grandparents. Her parents still live in her hometown of St. Petersburg.
