Manager says Hill could return for another bout
BISMARCK, N.D. -- North Dakota boxer Virgil Hill will return to the ring after he recovers from knee surgery, his manager said.
Bill Sorensen of Bismarck said Hill had the surgery on his right knee on Friday.
"It was very minor," Sorensen said. "In five days, he should be working out and ready to go."
Hill, 41, a four-time world champion, has talked recently about retiring. But Sorensen said Hill will be back in the ring, likely for a cruiserweight fight.
Hill has not fought since last May when he lost a unanimous decision to France's Jean-Marc Mormeck, the WBA cruiserweight champion.
