Castillo fails to make weight, fined $120K
LAS VEGAS -- Former two-time lightweight champion Jose Luis Csatillo three times failed to make weight Friday for his rematch with champion Diego Corrales.

Castillo weighed in at 137 pounds once and 138½ pounds twice during weigh-ins at Caesars Palace. Corrales weighed in at 135 pounds even for their scheduled rematch, which will be held as scheduled Saturday at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center.
Because he failed to make weight, Castillo was fined 10 percent of his $1.2 million purse or $120,000. Half of that will be added to Corrales' $2 million purse, and the other $60,000 will be paid to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
In addition, on Castillo's second weigh-in attempt, a member of his entourage was cited for tampering with the scale. Marc Ratner, executive director of the NSAC, yelled at Barak and asked him to leave the proceeding. In addition, Barak will be suspended and is prohibited from working in Castillo's corner on Saturday. Further discipline could be pending.
Promoters Bob Arum and Gary Shaw were meeting with members of the WBC and the WBO, the sanctioning bodies whose belts Corrales holds, to determine whether the rematch will be a non-title fight.
