Clapp pitches, hits Missouri past New Hampshire

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Landon Clapp was not discouraged by a poor start.

Clapp settled down on the mound and delivered at the plate as Columbia, Mo., overcame an early deficit to rout mistake-prone Portsmouth, N.H., 14-5 in a Little League World Series Pool B game.

Portsmouth, the New England champion, committed seven errors and had four wild pitches and two passed balls in a game that was postponed a day by rain.
