Canas' doping ban, already served, upheld on appeal

LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- The ruling against Argentine tennis player Guillermo Canas, who served a 15-month ban for doping, was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The Swiss supreme court ordered the CAS to review its ban following his appeal.

The ATP Tour suspended Canas for two years after he tested positive for a diuretic on Feb. 21, 2005, at a tournament in Mexico. The CAS said Wednesday it reached the same conclusion as its initial ruling and decided ...
