Even at 27, Williams remains as dangerous as ever

Venus Williams was 20 when she first won Wimbledon. Seven years later on the back end of her career, Williams showed she can still be as dangerous as ever, writes Bonnie DeSimone.

WIMBLEDON, England -- Venus Williams used her Wimbledon finals opponent Marion Bartoli for target practice on championship point Saturday, sending a screaming serve directly at the French player's midsection.

With the shot that sealed her 6-4, 6-1 win, Williams wasn't so much starting a new chapter in her fascinating career as she was completing a sequel that has become as predictable as each successive Roman numeral in the "Rocky" movies.
