Calzaghe delivers on big night in the Big Apple

Throughout the '90s, Roy Jones was peerless in boxing. But that was then and this is now. Joe Calzaghe outpunched, outmuscled and outhustled Jones over 12 rounds to earn a unanimous decision and usher in a new light heavyweight era on Saturday.

NEW YORK -- There was one winner, one loser and perhaps the end of two glorious careers.

Joe Calzaghe, the star Welshman, had said over and over before his fight with Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden that he planned to retire afterward, win or lose.
