Monmouth gets safety approval

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Safety and Integrity Alliance has added Monmouth Park in Oceanport, N.J., to its list of fully accredited racetracks, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Monmouth received its accreditation after filing a written application, meeting with alliance officials, and having an on-site inspection, the alliance said. To be accredited through the voluntary program, tracks must comply with requirements issued by the alliance in a variety of areas ...
