Juvenile Turf: Pluck rallies from last

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Pluck, last of 12 turning for home, unleashed a furious run down the center of the course to post an emphatic victory under jockey Garrett Gomez in $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, the first of the eight BC events Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Pluck, bred and owned by Team Valor International, returned $14.80 after finishing the one-mile distance in 1:36.98 over firm turf. Soldat finished second, Willcox Inn was third, and Banned was fourth.
