No Kentucky Derby for Jaycito

After consulting with trainer Bob Baffert, owner Ahmed Zayat said April 24 that Zayat Stables' Jaycito will not run in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands.

The son of Victory Gallop  Night Edition, by Ascot Knight has been slowed by a foot bruise, which kept him out of the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby.

"He's not 100% and neither Bob nor I would ever run a horse just for the sake of running," said Zayat, who will be represented on May 7 by Arkansas Derby (Grade 1) and Louisiana ...
