Smooth Bert, Kelli Got Frosty win Big A stakes

NEW YORK -- Smooth Bert and Kelli Got Frosty won $80,000 stakes races for New York bred 2-year-olds Sunday in the slop at Aqueduct.

Smooth Bert, ridden by Mike Luzzi for trainer Leah Gyarmati, took the Damon Runyon by three quarters of a length over Notacatbutallama for his second win in five starts. He paid $10.40 to win, running the mile in 1:39.70.

Kelli Got Frosty romped to a 9½-length win over Agilion as the 2-5 favorite in the East End for fillies. It was her third victory ...
