Ex-SAfrica assistant soccer coach sent to prison
CAPE TOWN, South Africa -- The former assistant coach of South Africa's national team has been sentenced to three years in prison for trying to fix a game.
Phil Setshedi was sentenced Tuesday after he tried to bribe a man he thought was a referee with $220 to influence the outcome of a league promotion playoff in 2011. The man posing as the referee was an undercover police officer.
