Emollient dominates Central Bank Ashland Stakes

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Emollient shook off a week's rest to dominate the $500,000 Grade I Central Bank Ashland Stakes feature at Keeneland on Saturday.

Ridden by Mike Smith, the 3-year-old filly broke fast from 13th and didn't let up after setting the pace near the rail. The Kentucky bred ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.49 and returned $14.40, $8.40 and 5.80.

A week ago, Emollient finished fifth in the Grade II Gulfstream Oaks.
