Blackburn ordered to pay former manager Berg $3.5M
MANCHESTER, England -- A British court has ordered Blackburn to pay $3.5 million in compensation to former manager Henning Berg.
The former Blackburn defender led the second-tier club for just 57 days of a three-year deal, ending in December after one win in 10 matches.
Blackburn argued that managing director Derek Shaw acted without authority from owner Venky's -- an Indian poultry firm -- in granting Berg a contract.
