The Low-Down: The prestigious Shadwell Mile has always been a key prep for the Breeders' Cup Mile and this year's edition boasts a solid field of nine. MR. SIDNEY is undefeated at Keeneland and 4 for 4 at this mile distance. BATTLE OF HASTINGS lost a tough photo in the Del Mar Mile and makes his first start over the Keeneland turf course for trainer Jeff Mullins. JUSTENUFFHUMOR figures to be the favorite after winning his last six starts for trainer Kiaran McLaughllin. COURT VISION puts the blinkers back on and will be ridden by Robby Albarado for the first time. This is a terrific race!

Our Eyes: MR SIDNEY is finally spotted for a winning session today by trainer Bill Mott. He finished sixth in the Arlington Million, but wanted no part of the distance. He cuts back to his preferred distance and course. JUSTENUFFHUMOR is razor-sharp off his win in the Bernard Baruch at the Spa back in August. He's training well and strictly the one to beat for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. BATTLE OF HASTINGS is one tough customer and will be rolling in the stretch.

The Bottom Line: I like MR. SYDNEY quite a bit in this spot at 3-1. He should be primed for a huge effort. He's my key. JUSTENUFFHUMOR tries to make it 7 wins in a row and is the one to beat. His wide rally in the Baruch was very impressive. BATTLE OF HASTINGS looked like a winner in the Del Mar Derby but got clipped right on the money last time out. I would key MR. SYDNEY in exactas with JUSTENUFFHUMOR and BATTLE OF HASTINGS. Good luck in the Shadwell Mile.
