Reigning AQHA champion jockey Ramon Sanchez is now resting at his home in Chino, California, after being released from Long Beach Memorial Hospital on Tuesday. Sanchez will continue his recovery by doing physical therapy at a medical facility in Pomona. "It feels great to be back home and I'm looking forward to returning to ride," said Sanchez. "I wish I could ride today but I know that I have to take my time. I'll start galloping once I'm 85-90 percent healthy. I definitely want to keep riding." The leading jockey at Los Alamitos in 2001 and '02, Sanchez sustained a severe blow to his head following a spill in a race at the track on February 23.
