Belle of the Hall stretched her undefeated streak to three, holding off Derwin's Star by three-quarters of a length in the $200,000 Jostle Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on Saturday at Philadelphia Park. Ramon Dominguez was aboard for trainer Tom Albertrani as the 1-2 favorite ran the 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15.44 on the fast track. Brilliant Sunshine jumped out to the early lead with Belle of the Hall immediately along side. Midway on the turn, Brilliant Sunshine slipped clear by 1 1/2 lengths as Dominguez bided his time. In the lane, Belle of the Hall ($3) took charge and braced for a late run from Derwin's Star, the early trailer in the six-horse field. Worship the Moon was third, followed by Brilliant Sunshine, Simply Spiteful, and Vindy City. Worship the Moon, Derwin's Star and Vindy City all pushed open their stall doors prior to the start. None ran free and all were quickly reloaded. This was the first stakes appearance for Belle of the Hall following a maiden win at Gulfstream Park against Florida-breds and a first-level allowance victory at Belmont Park.
