Montreal QB Calvillo wins CFL's outstanding player award

MONTREAL -- Montreal Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo
was selected the CFL's outstanding player for the second time in
six seasons Thursday.

Calvillo, the former Utah State star who also won the 2003
award, threw a CFL-high 43 touchdown passes this season and led the
Alouettes to the Grey Cup on Sunday against the Calgary Stampeders.
Calgary quarterback Henry Burris was the other finalist.

Edmonton slotback Kamau Peterson (top Canadian) also was honored
Thursday along with Montreal guard Scott Flory (lineman), British
Columbia defensive end Cameron Wake (defensive player), Toronto
returner Dominique Dorsey (special teams) and Saskatchewan slotback
Weston Dressler (rookie).
