Official: Fan's condition not serious
PARIS -- A male spectator in his late 60s collapsed from the heat during the men's semifinals at the French Open, briefly delaying play.
A tournament official said his condition wasn't serious.
Paramedics attended to the fan in the center court stands Friday after he collapsed during the match between Rafael Nadal and Jurgen Melzer. The spectator was escorted out of the stadium for observation.
The weather was sunny with temperatures in the low 80s. Nadal beat Melzer in straight sets and advanced to the final.
