Golovin tops Dushevina in straight sets, advances to Slovenia final

PORTOROZ, Slovenia -- Top-seeded Tatiana Golovin and Katarina Srebotnik advanced to the final of the Slovenia Open on Saturday.

Golovin beat eighth-seeded Vera Dushevina 7-6 (5), 6-2 in the semifinals, and the fourth-seeded Srebotnik defeated Gisela Dulko 6-2, 6-3.

The 19-year-old Golovin is aiming for her second career WTA Tour title.

Srebotnik dominated her match from the baseline, finishing off the seventh-seeded Dulko in less than 90 minutes.

The 26-year-old Srebotnik is competing in her first final of the year. The Slovenian player, who hasn't won a WTA Tour tournament since 2005, said it is her dream to win a tournament at home.
