Wozniak wins; Jankovic, Venus play Tuesday
BANGKOK, Thailand -- Aleksandra Wozniak defeated Ioana Raluca Olaru 7-5, 6-4 Monday to advance to the second round of the Bangkok Open.
Casey Dellacqua stopped Severine Bremond 6-2, 6-4, and Wimbledon junior champion Urszula Radwanska routed teenager Sorana Cirstea 6-0, 6-3.
Camille Pin advanced when Jelena Kostanic Tosic withdrew after losing the first set 7-5.
Top-seeded Jelena Jankovic and second-seeded Venus Williams were to play their first round matches on Tuesday. Williams will face 17-year-old Caroline Wozniacki.
Williams visited a tournament trainer Monday but said she wasn't injured. Williams has spent three weeks in Asia, winning in Seoul before reaching the final last week in Tokyo, where she lost to Virginie Razzano.
