STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska advanced to the semifinals of the Nordic Light Open on Friday when Camille Pin retired in the second set.

The top-seeded Radwanska led 6-2, 1-0 when Pin gave up because of stomach problems. The French player called for a doctor in the opening set, but decided to keep playing after a short break.

"Camille returns almost everything, so it's difficult to play her," Radwanska said. "I tried to play aggressive tennis and finish off the points pretty fast."

Radwanska will play fourth-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in the semifinal on Saturday. Wozniacki ousted fifth-seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain 6-1, 6-3 on Olympic Stadium's hard court.

Third-seeded Katarina Srebotnik of the Czech Republic and 2007 finalist Vera Dushevina of Russia also had straight-set wins and will meet in the other semifinal.

Srebotnik, ranked 29th, downed Virginia Ruano Pascual of Spain 6-2, 6-0 to win a third consecutive match in straight sets, and Dushevina defeated Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-3.

Benesova failed to convert six break points.
