No. 4 Petrova advances to second round at Bali
NUSA DUA, Indonesia -- Fourth-seeded Nadia Petrova of Russia advanced to the second round of the Bali Open on Tuesday by defeating Aiko Nakamura of Japan 6-3, 6-1.
Jill Craybas of the United States also advanced, upsetting eighth-seeded Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Qualifier Olga Savchuk of Ukraine eliminated Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia 7-5, 6-2 to set up a match against top-seeded Daniela Hantuchova on Wednesday.
Sara Errani, Flavia Pennetta, Chan Yung-jan and Anastasia Rodionova also advanced.
