Dementieva, Mauresmo win in straight sets, advance

LUXEMBOURG -- Olympic champion Elena Dementieva beat Gisela Dulko of Argentina 6-2, 6-2 on Thursday to reach the quarterfinals of the Fortis Championships.
The top-seeded Russian will play former No. 1 Amelie Mauresmo on Friday. The French veteran swept past Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany 6-3, 6-1.
In the only other second-round match remaining, seventh-seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain defeated Catalina Castano of Colombia 6-2, 4-6, 7-5.
