Schiavone rolls past Bondarenko
PRAGUE -- Top-seeded Francesca Schiavone routed Kateryna Bondarenko 6-1, 6-1 Friday to advance to the semifinals of the Prague Open.
Need the scores from any match played in today's tournaments? The 30th-ranked Schiavone, who reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon last month, will face Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland, who upset fourth-seeded Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 6-4, 6-4.
All three top-seeded players advanced to Saturday's semifinals.
Second-seeded Sybille Bammer of Austria defeated seventh-seeded Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic 7-5, 5-7, 7-5 and will play third-seeded Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic, who eliminated Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan 6-4, 6-1.
