Montanes, Monaco reach Romania final
BUCHAREST, Romania -- Fifth-seeded Albert Montanes defeated Santiago Ventura 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 Saturday to advance to the final of the BCR Open Romania.
Need the scores from any match played in today's tournaments? The Spaniards traded breaks early in the first set before Ventura broke decisively to lead 4-3.
Ventura won three straight games in the second set to even it 4-4 before Montanes rallied to win the set. He cruised past Ventura in the third.
Montanes will face third-seeded Juan Monaco of Argentina, who beat Simon Greul of Germany 6-4, 6-3.
