QUEBEC CITY -- Canadian Rebecca Marino beat top-seeded Marion Bartoli of France 6-3, 6-1 on Wednesday in the second round of the WTA Tour's Bell Challenge

In other second-round matches in the indoor event at Club Avantage Multi-Sports de Quebec, third-seeded Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic topped Sweden's Johanna Larsson 6-4, 6-2 and American Bethanie Mattek-Sands beat sixth-seeded Julia Goerges of Germany 6-1, 6-4.
