Clowney declares for NFL

Jadeveon Clowney has announced that he will skip his senior season at South Carolina and declare for the 2014 NFL draft. Clowney did not live up to his Heisman billing this season, but still earned first team All-SEC honors. The star defensive end also made headlines for a couple of speeding tickets. Clowney is among the top-rated players entering the draft, but would you take him with the first overall pick?

Clowney caught speeding again

South Carolina star and likely future No. 1 NFL draft pick, Jadeveon Clowney, was recently caught speeding for the second time in less than a month. "At least he'll have enough money to pay for it a week or so from now. He needs to go to driving school," said his coach, Steve Spurrier, upon learning of his prized NFL prospect's latest run-in with the police. Should this be cause for concern for NFL scouts?

CFB: (5) Missouri vs. (21) S. Carolina

Everything has been breaking right for Missouri. A perfect 7-0 record and back-to-back wins over slumping Florida and Georgia teams have the Tigers sitting pretty in the SEC East. Two ranked teams remain on the schedule, starting with Steve Spurrier's South Carolina team that is coming off a disappointing loss to Tennessee. Do you believe in the Tigers, or are they simply benefiting from good timing? Should they meet Alabama in the SEC championship game, could they hold their own?

Should Clowney be sitting?

Jadeveon Clowney was supposed to be the consensus favorite for the Heisman Trophy this season, but injuries and a growing sense of concern about his future have derailed his season. Clowney missed South Carolina's game against Kentucky last week, holding himself out due to bruised ribs, and coach Steve Spurrier thinks everyone involved has handled it poorly. It's clear that Clowney will still be a high draft pick, so his looking out for his future is understandable, but would you have wanted to see him try to play through pain?

(6) South Carolina at (11) Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs' encounters with the teams of South Carolina continue -- albeit this one at home, with the Gamecocks visiting Athens for another high-profile tilt. After losing 38-35 at now-No. 4 Clemson, can Mark Richt's team get back on track? If South Carolina is to prevent that from happening, a certain Jadeveon Clowney might want to improve upon last week's underwhelming performance.
