What kind of sports fan are you?
Oklahoma State sophomore standout Marcus Smart has learned he will sit three games for shoving Texas Tech superfan Jeff Orr for what he thought was a racial slur, but turned out to be the more pedestrian but still ugly ''you're a piece of crap.'' We asked you earlier about the punishment Smart is facing and how much it will hurt his future. Now we want to turn the tables, SportsNation, and find out how you view yourself and whether you've done anything that could have resulted in a player getting physical.
Smart suspended three games
Oklahoma State's Marcus Smart shoved a Texas Tech fan after the two exchanged words late in Saturday night's game, and on Sunday the star guard was suspended three games for his actions. It's unclear what the fan said to Smart; the player claimed it was a racial slur, while the fan, Jeff Orr, denies that (Smart later apologized and took "full responsibility" for his actions). All of this came on the same night an Oregon coach says he was spit on by an Arizona State fan Saturday. Was Smart's punishment fair? Do fans take things too far?
When is rushing the court OK?
Your college team -- which, for the sake of argument, we'll assume to be a heavy underdog -- has just knocked off a highly ranked opponent in a close-fought contest. Is it time to rush the court? Considering the frequency with which fans pour out of their seats after such a win, it seems like the answer is usually "absolutely, now get out of my way, nerd." Fans in Indiana did just that on Tuesday night after beating No. 3 Wisconsin, although it's not sitting well with everyone:
Ok Indiana University should not storm the court. Rare that schools with their tradition storms.â?? Seth Greenberg (@SethOnHoops) January 15, 2014
To wit: It was just a regular-season game, Indiana is 12-5, and it's not as if this is even close to the biggest win the Hoosiers have ever had. What happens when they achieve one that's actually super-impressive?
I realize Indiana hasn't beaten Bo Ryan since 1926 or so, but still ... Court Storm? Not buying this one.â?? Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN) January 15, 2014

Michigan State best in Big Ten?
It wasn't as easy as it at one point seemed. But, with a gritty overtime performance, the host No. 5 Michigan State Spartans managed to negate a rally and beat the previously unbeaten, third-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes 72-68 on Tuesday night. Wisconsin now is the league's lone undefeated team, and all three schools figure to fight to the end for the title. Which team will win it? Is the Big Ten college basketball's best conference?
