Who will win the Sugar Bowl?

Talk about teams coming from different places. Alabama in late November seemed likely to play for its third straight national championship; instead, a shocking loss to Auburn doomed the Crimson Tide to a secondary BCS bowl. Oklahoma, meanwhile, lost handily to Texas and Baylor in a span of four weeks, yet roared back to win its last three -- including a Big 12 title-denying upset of rival Oklahoma State on Dec. 7. Who wins in New Orleans?

Is Baylor a legit title contender?

Q: Is Baylor for real? A: Uh, yeah. The team that had played zero ranked teams before Thursday finally faced one with a number next to it, and responded by thrashing the No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners 41-12. Suddenly, all those video-game numbers don't look so "easy mode" after all. Can Baylor keep it up? Should Bryce Petty get Heisman consideration?

CFB: (10) Oklahoma at (6) Baylor

Cancel your plans for Thursday night. Usually one is happy to have football of any kind on a Thursday night. This week we have not one, but two college football games between top-10 teams. And just for some added spice we have Robert Griffin III versus Adrian Peterson. The first game on the slate is No. 6 Baylor hosting No. 10 Oklahoma. It will be the Bears' first test against a ranked opponent this season. Winning would put Baylor in the driver's seat for the Big 12 title, keep open the outside shot at the BCS title game and likely slide quarterback Bryce Petty up into the Heisman discussion. After having averaged 63.9 points per game this season, the Bears are a 14-point favorite over the Sooners.
