Cards' Wacha loses no-hit bid

Armando Galarraga Incident this was not. But it was close. On Tuesday, St. Louis Cardinals rookie Michael Wacha -- he of 14 prior MLB appearances -- allowed no hits in the first 8 2/3 innings against the Washington Nationals. Then came the last out, which was delayed in heartbreaking fashion by Ryan Zimmerman's infield single. Ouch. Then again, Wacha and the Cardinals walked away winners -- and likely will claim the NL Central title soon.
