Manziel goes 22nd to Browns

After Jadeveon Clowney went No. 1 overall to the Houston Texans, the story of draft night was Johnny Manziel's fall. Expected to be in play as early as No. 3, Manziel watched Blake Bortles go in that slot to the Jacksonville Jaguars ... then saw the Cleveland Browns pass on him twice ... then sat by as the Dallas Cowboys took an offensive lineman at No. 16 ... until finally the Browns moved up to select the former Heisman Trophy winner out of Texas A&M. What's your take on the situation?

Johnny Manziel isn't the only football prospect who can throw down on the court. Odell Beckham Jr. -- a 5-foot-11 wide receiver out of LSU who is expected to go in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft -- put on his own dunk show recently:

Compare that to Johnny Football (Johnny Basketball?) and his recent display:

Manziel wows at pro day

Johnny Manziel may have taken a risk by wearing pads and a helmet during his pro day, but ESPN's Ron Jaworski and Jeff Saturday came away impressed. Despite high-profile guests like former President George H.W. Bush in attendance, Manziel didn't seem intimidated -- Jaworski thought his balance and ball control were exceptional, and thought he looked at least as good (if not better) than Blake Bortles and Teddy Bridgewater. It's all the more impressive considering that Manziel's unique talent -- his ability to improvise and make something out of nothing -- isn't really applicable during a pro day's scripted drills. It's just another piece of the puzzle for NFL teams looking to find the next franchise quarterback.
