Hoyer to start over Manziel
Although neither quarterback has had a particularly stellar preseason, the Browns have decided on Brian Hoyer over Johnny Manziel to start in Week 1. Hoyer struggled in their Monday night game against the Redskins, but Manziel didn't do much better, and he sparked a controversy by gesturing with his middle finger toward the Redskins' bench. Manziel may be the team's QB of the future, but it remains to be seen just when that will come.
Manziel's controversial moment
Johnny Manziel just can't escape controversy. Less than a week after showing up late to a team meeting, Manziel during Monday night's game at Washington flipped off the opposing bench. Manziel is facing a fine, of course, and now questions about his maturity (his performance, too, didn't exactly excite; he was 7-of-16 for 65 yards and a touchdown). What do you make of it all?

Maybe Andrew Hawkins forgot he's not a Cincinnati Bengal anymore. That would explain why, on Thursday, the newly signed Cleveland Browns wide receiver decided to troll LeBron James-hungry Cavaliers fans by tweeting the following:
Yes, that's a link to a 2006 story, when James signed an extension with Cleveland. Predictably, fans were upset.
@Hawk that's evil— coaster boy josh (@coasterboyjosh) July 10, 2014
Hawkins' reaction to the reaction? Well ...
Not funny? Lol— Andrew Hawkins (@Hawk) July 10, 2014
Here's betting Hawkins really hopes LeBron comes back.
Josh Gordon arrested for DWI
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon was arrested on a DWI charge over the weekend, adding to his long list of off-field issues that have plagued him since college. Some are calling for the Browns to release Gordon, while others are arguing that would be a meaningless move as he is likely to be in rehab all season anyway and would be quickly re-signed by another team for the 2015 season.
What should the Browns do? Do you come at the topic with experience dealing with individuals suffering from substance abuse issues?
Will Manziel be a distraction?
Johnny Manziel has returned to the Cleveland Browns to participate in OTAs -- and, yeah, there are questions. A major one: Does his party-filled weekend in Las Vegas mean he isn't totally committed to football? He says he is. The Browns don't seem to be bothered by his actions in his off-time. Are you?
