With Jones out, are Falcons done?

The hits just keep coming for the Atlanta Falcons. Two days after losing at home to the New York Jets, the worries about receiver Julio Jones' health were confirmed; the Pro Bowler will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury. Suddenly, these Super Bowl-contending birds are 1-4, missing one top WR and about to lose another one for at least a little time. Should the Falcons backtrack on their Tony Gonzalez stance and pack it in for the year?

In 2012, Jason Witten posted receiverlike numbers. He was 30. Tony Gonzalez wasn't far behind, at age 36. Will the over-30 club rule the tight end landscape in 2013? Or will younger players -- such as Pro Bowl MVP Kyle Rudolph -- take over? And what to make of undeniably talented but oft-injured New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski? Click on the boxes below to set your rankings!

We may not have the Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning matchup in the AFC Championship Game much of SportsNation wanted to see, but both championship games are loaded with talent. Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis and Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez are hoping to end their careers on top, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is two games away from winning a Super Bowl in his 10th career start, and Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan's 0-for-3 record in the playoffs is history after a thrilling 30-28 victory over the Seahawks. Commentators seem fond of pointing out how much fun Brett Favre appears to be having when he's on the football field, but for SportsNation's money, no quarterback is more fun to watch than Drew Brees. Lucky for you, he's on ESPN tonight against Matt Ryan's Falcons. But if we're closing in on midnight ET and the Saints and Yankees are both looking to pull out wins, who would you sooner trust with the ball?

I'm a diehard falcons fan always will be but realistically speaking I don't see us winning this game by any stretch of my imagination.....at least after this game we have the redskins to beat up on
