SportsNation Blog Archives Richard Sherman
Richard Sherman won our vote to be on the cover of the latest version of "Madden," and EA Sports has revealed its design:
Much like Sherman's style of play, it's pretty slick. Sherman asked to have the rest of the "Legion of Boom" on the cover, as well, but EA chose to go with Sherman solo.
Sherman calls out Manning
Richard Sherman stood his ground regarding his comment that Peyton Manning ''throws ducks,'' but did so in the nicest way possible -- couched in praise for Manning's accuracy and preparation and a bunch of other things people say about Peyton Manning when they're giving him kudos. Manning's arm strength has been questioned before -- it was one of the biggest concerns for him coming off his neck surgery -- but his results this season speak for themselves. He'll need to keep up his near-perfect play in the Super Bowl, unless he wants to see some of those so-called "ducks" float their way into the hands of Sherman or another member of the Seahawks' dangerous secondary.
Sherman slams Crabtree
Richard Sherman delivered an epic post-game rant after the Seattle Seahawks won the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, calling out San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Sherman, who deflected a Colin Kaepernick pass that led to the game-clinching interception, also got in Crabtree's face in the games closing seconds. Sherman on Monday apologized in a text message to ESPN's Ed Werder and addressed the issue on ESPN Radio. Did you like Sherman's post-game tirade? Was his apology sincere? Do you expect more trash talk ahead of the Super Bowl?
