I can see the Padres and Rockies battling it out all 162 games, like last season. This time, you can throw the Dodgers into the mix here, as a new manager can mean 5-10 extra wins a year.

I'm fine with it. I hope Chase uses this opportunity to hone his skills in LF. Particularly throwing from different places and angles, and situations, too (i.e. men on base with varying number of outs).

If Headley heads to AAA, there's a reason for it. It's not arbitrary. They want him there for a reason. And whatever the reason, it's a decision that will be made in Chase's and the Padres' best interests for the long term.
