Einstein said it correctly when he defined insanity as "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Trade a few minor leaguers for washed up veterans for a year or two, and keep the same starting rotation that can never get into the seventh inning. Add more bobblehead give-a-ways to keep the fans coming. 2008 Pittsburgh Pirates -- struggling to get over that 70-win mark again. Insane.

The Bucs have had a special array of players like Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, Dave Henderson, and others that make Pittsburgh a strong sports city. Being a Pittsburgh Pirates fan myself, I hope that the World Series is not a dream but a reality in late October.

NL Bottom 3
3. Washington Nationals -- Is it just me or does everybody who washed out of Cincinnati wind up in a Nats jersey?
2. San Francisco Giants -- Bonds is gone, oh well. They will take their lumps from a tough division this year.
1. Pittsburgh Pirates Im always more than happy to put a Pittsburgh team in the last place spot. However my hatred for the city aside, the Buc-o's will suc-o once again.

It's time for the third annual Pirates' W-L predictions contest. The rules are the same as in the past and are pretty simple:
1. Poster must predict an exact won-loss record for the full season.
2. Poster may change his prediction until the regular season begins.
3. Since I can't guarantee that I will read every post between now and the beginning of the season, please give your prediction an appropriate title, or post your prediction in a thread which already has an appropriate title (such as this one).
