For every Ty Rogers buzzer-beating three-pointer, there's a Tyus Edney-style runner by Gonzaga guard Demetri Goodson.

For every image of a team running around the floor celebrating, there's an image of coach Ken McDonald running toward the officials, reminding them he wanted a time-out in the final seconds.

And for every doubter this season, there were the Toppers.

Minnesota talent runs deep at SDSU

A lot of North Dakota State's recruiting depth depends on just how deep the Minnesota lakes are in any given year, metaphorically speaking. Like the many rivers in Minnesota, high school talent runs deep. Whether it would be wrestling, football, hockey, or of course basketball, NDSU has benefited from this in more ways than one. At the beginning of this season NDSU had eight athletes on their roster from the State of Minnesota and at least two of their incoming recruits come from the land of 10,000 lakes.
